8th AASAR Annual Meeting
2022 International Conference on Addictions in Asia
The 2022 International Conference on Addictions in Asia will be held at the University of Macau on October 28, 2022. It is also the 8th annual meeting of the Asian Association for Substance Abuse Research (AASAR). As a non-profit organization headquartered at the University of Macau, AASAR is dedicated to promoting scientific research and evidence-based prevention and treatment policies for substance abuse in Asia. Its annual meeting aims to promote academic research and regional scientific collaboration in the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and to foster international cooperation among academic institutions and professional associations specializing in substance abuse research and practice.
This conference gathers scholars and practitioners from Asia to share their research on addictive behaviors and their experiences in developing effective prevention and treatment programs to reduce the problems. While focusing on Asia, the conference also aims to facilitate the exchange of addiction research more broadly. Therefore, we will also welcome participants from other parts of the world who will bring international or comparative perspectives on the distribution, causes and consequences of addictions as well as effective prevention and treatment strategies addressing the issues of addiction.
